THE BAND
Savage guitar sounds meet groovy riffs, cerebral yet still cool as heck. The Kite Machine channels the raw energy of rock, funk and prog to create a revolution of movement.
Formed in Geelong, Victoria (Australia) in the midst of its famously punk and psych-rock heavy scene, TKM stood apart from their contemporaries, content to push their limits of their signature groovy, progressive rock style.
This led to a slew of successful releases (Lunatics - #1 Triple J ‘Unearthed’ charts, Charlotte and Sinister Sound - both hitting 1 million streams on Spotify in 2022), multiple appearances at iconic festivals such as Queenscliff Music Festival and East Coast tours with sold out shows. This rise to indie scene cult status culminated in their self titled debut album released in 2019.
They also scored plays on major sports broadcasts such as the NFL, Big Bash Cricket, F1 Grand Prix and Bathurst.
In 2021 The Kite Machine was joined by longtime collaborator Cam Jerabek and returned to the studio to record the AA single ‘5656/IP’ further demonstrating their hive minded, obsessively crafted, unique take on rock music.
"The Kite Machine is a band built to make you move, dialled in to start the party."
VOCALS / GUITAR
Ultimate sound checker, pedalboard nerd and VR gamer.
Levi does not enjoy long walks along the beach as he believes that sand is his arch rival. He also doesn't like trampolines due to a combination of his stature, having too much bounce, and a rather large fear of heights.
DRUMS
The Seinfeld quoter of the group. Kane has seen the complete series approximately 473 times and is compiling a list of the ultimate Seinfeld trivia questions.
He also has a beard and hits drums.
BASS
Brother Brens... music teacher, red wine drinker, film connoisser, Bowie impersonator, cynic.
Liam is interesting... interest-ed... and knowledgable about many things. He also carries many opinions about these things, and shares them aggressively for funsies.
